This easy hummus pasta is a quick and delicious meal option that comes together in just 15 minutes with minimal ingredients. The creamy hummus creates a rich sauce that coats the pasta perfectly, and the red pepper flakes add a touch of spice.   • 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice
  • 1/2 cup hummus (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup pasta cooking water
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)


  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Before draining the pasta, reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta cooking water.
  2. In a large skillet, add the cooked pasta, hummus, and pasta cooking water. Stir everything together over low heat until the hummus melts and coats the pasta evenly. If the sauce seems too thick, add a bit more pasta water.
  3. Add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat, if desired. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Continue cooking and stirring for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is heated through and the pasta is well coated.
  5. Remove from heat and transfer to serving plates.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
  7. Serve the easy 4-ingredient hummus pasta hot and enjoy the creamy, flavorful sauce with your favorite pasta shape!
