  • 4 large potatoes, washed and cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste for spiciness)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the potato wedges are golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the potato wedges are roasting, prepare the guacamole. Scoop the flesh of the avocados into a bowl and mash with a fork until smooth.
  6. Add lime juice, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper to the mashed avocado and mix until well combined.
  7. Once the potato wedges are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  8. Serve the spicy and crunchy roasted potato wedges with the freshly made guacamole on the side.
