INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups Pure Apple Juice (480ml)
- 2 cups White Granulated Sugar (400g)
- ÂĽ cup Agave Syrup (60ml)
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- ½ teaspoon Orange Extract
DIRECTIONS
- In a medium, heavy bottomed saucepan, combine the apple juice, white granulated sugar, agave syrup, lemon juice, and orange extract. Heat over medium heat.
- After the sugar has dissolved, stir it intermittently while continuing to stir it vigorously with a whisk.
- Set a timer for 25 minutes and allow the mixture to boil vigorously until bubbles appear all over the surface. Stirring occasionally, let it boil for 25 minutes. You’ll see that it changes color and somewhat thickens.
- The honey should be taken off the heat, poured into a heat-safe jar, and left at room temperature for about 30 minutes with the lid off. After that, cover the container with the lid and chill it overnight to achieve thick and chilly consistency.
- It yields roughly two cups of honey. Use in the same way that you would use an ordinary honey.
